This is a moving illustration I made for digital cultural magazine "De Optimist". I was tasked with creating a single illustration to accompany a short story.
The story was about a stubborn activist, refusing to leave his home in a mining area. While protestors show support for him outside, he recalls the time he and his father saved a baby deer.
